Municipal Benchmarking’s Citizen’s Report provides a concerned citizen a high level look at his or her municipal government. The Citizen's Report shows you where your community gets its resources from and how it spends those resources.
The Citizen’s Report uses our proprietary Benchmark Peer Group methodology. We compare your community against its Benchmark Peer Group, the twenty most similar communities in Massachusetts, derived by analyzing fifteen key socio-economic, demographic and geographic attributes.
The Citizen's Report highlights key municipal issues in your community. The report begins by reviewing the average tax bill in your community and how it fits into the overall revenue picture. Next, the Citizen's Report focuses on the spending picture: how much does your community spend and how does it allocates its resources amoung the various departments. Relative departmental allocations highlight the priorities and decisions made by the community.
